A few words from designer Heather Ross on the inspiration behind this darling line that has us just smitten!

 

The artwork in this collection was created by hand, during the long days of Spring, 2020. I had moved with my family to the Catskill Mountains and was recovering from covid. I had not yet shut my studio in Manhattan, thinking that I would return imminently, and had none of my digital drawing tools or equipment with me. 

I had been considering the idea of creating a fabric collection with hand inked and painted artwork for some time. I was interested in the idea that advances in digitally printed fabric meant that I was not limited to working with solid masses of color. Plot twist! Technology was giving me the opportunity to work by hand!
